The date is the 25th of February 2021 Mataeo Creed Is enjoying a drive on his motorcycle where it is abruptly forced to a stop when Mataeo calmly pulls over his vehicle to respond to a text on his mobile phone as its clearly unsafe to text and operate a motor vehicle, after he completed sending his text and on his way to his location he happened to run a red light where Captian Ryan Williams of the LSPD (Badge number 405) attempted to make a traffic stop, Mataeo complied and pulled his vehicle over and turned his vehicle off abruptly. Ryan Williams claims Mataeo fled the scene of a drug sale then Capt. Ryan Williams asked Mataeo if he consented to a pat-down (to feel for weapons etc) Mataeo complied and instead of a patdown Ryan Williams then decided to go against what he said and did a full-body search of Mataeo. Where he then found 4 Marijuana Joints which are perfectly legal but Ryan Williams went against the SOP’S and came to the conclusion that this is reasonable cause to search Mataeo and his vehicle. Mataeo Demanded a higher ranked officer to attend the scene where yet again Cheif Rico Hudds Broke SOP’s and gave Ryan Williams the green light to conduct a search where they located small amounts of cocaine that were not intended for distribution he was then arrested and sent down to MRPD Where they then impounded his bike and imprisoned Mr. Creed for nearly 18 months.
This all stems from the fact if you are not serving in the police force or the emergency services you will be profiled as a criminal. There was no valid reason to do what they did to Mr. Creed and it was a blatant abuse of power from the LSPD. Because of this, this man lost 18 months of his life due to their abuse of power, and so Mataeo is rightfully calling for absolute police reform and a full overhaul of the LSPD.
