Weazel News Food Review: Breakfast at the Bean

One of the most well-known restaurants and hang out spots in our city, The Bean Machine, who is ran by Alexcis Hayes, has always been a purveyor of amazing food and beverages. When restaurants have such good things being spread around about them we at Weazel News are bound to eventually ‘drop-in’ and have a bite to eat! So please enjoy my official non-bias food review of the Bean Machine!

It had been a long day of being led on a wild goose chase involving a girl in a yellow parka. I had been clicking my pen for about an hour wondering what more I could dig up about such a mysterious character. Suddenly I was abruptly startled from from daydreaming. I looked around our mostly dim and empty basement news room expecting to see a familiar face but was met with none.

As I continued scanning the room the sound occurred once again. I quickly came to realize it was nothing more than my stomach. Turns out I had been daydreaming about my stories again! I had been sitting there for the past few hours with nothing in my system but the somewhat metallic tasting tap-water of the city of Los Santos.

As I walked upstairs and out to the Weazel News van I browsed through my daily dose of memes and checked the clicks on our articles. While doing so my eyes were suddenly brought to the attention of nothing more than the Bean Machine’s yellow page post stating that a worker was available to serve at the establishment. I quickly grabbed the keys off the wall, excited at the thought of the scrumptious food, and leapt into the van where I was met with the usual sounds of the busy streets of Los Santos. I then prepared myself to venture out to the Bean Machine!

It took about fifteen minutes to get to the establishment and upon arrival I found out that the parking was in the rear. I slid out of my seat, which was now soaking wet from the heat, and waddled my way up to the front.

Upon finally reaching the front of the store I was met with the lively chatter and laughter of the lovely citizens of Los Santos. I made my way through the crowd towards the doors and upon entering was met with the lovely aroma of my favorite essence, coffee.

Once inside I found a seat and was immediately met by the smiling face of a worker which I could only assume was the one that posted the advertisement. They asked if I would like anything so I quickly scanned the menu and decided to go with one of their in-house cappuccinos and of course the classic donut.

A little while later I was greeted by a familiar face but this time they carried a platter that held the sacred contents of my morning breakfast. They left me alone with my food while I read the paper and answered the usual spam calls. I hoped to maybe get a story instead of the wide variety of car scams and telemarketers that berated my phone around those hours.

After dealing with a couple of real callouts from work and drinking my coffee I paid my tab, gave my thanks, and headed out.

To finish off the article I would like to make a couple of statements about my time at the Bean Machine as well as leave some closing comments about the food. Overall the staff at the Bean Machine were very polite and nice, they met me before I even sat down, took my order quickly, and brought it out in a timely manner. It was hard to find parking because of the morning rush and the walk through the lot had my sandals sticking to my feet. The establishment itself was filled with lively people and lively food. Their in-house cappuccino was to die for and the donut was not only the cherry on top but also a great way to start the day. Head on down their and try it for yourself! This is Keith K. Flick awarding the Bean Machine with a solid 8/10. Look forward for trying lunch there one day!
